Administration

Millington’s Charity is administered by a board of 12 Trustees under a chairman. Meetings take place quarterly and all aspects of the running of the establishment are discussed and agreed upon by this board. The charity has an appointed Clerk who controls the management of the site, the buildings and the grounds and who handles all associated secretarial matters. Millingtons also employs a Warden whose responsibilities include the daily pastoral care of residents. The Warden is supported by a Deputy Warden who covers for holiday times and time off. An emergency alarm system is installed in each of the residential homes. Some residents enjoy completely unassisted occupation of their accommodation, whilst others are supported by carers, Social Services and relatives. All of these arrangements are acceptable to the Trustees as long as individual residents are capable of managing their day to day lives. Millingtons does not provide full time care home facilities for residents.
